What are QR codes?

A QR (Quick Response) code is a way to safely and securely store data that you want to access instantly. QR codes were created in the Japanese motor industry to track car parts and components in the production cycle, but their efficiency in the storing and accessing of data are such that the advertising industry soon made use of them to send customers to websites without having to type in their website URL.

How to use

Most modern phone cameras come with the native capacity to scan QR codes. To test whether your phone camera is compatible with QR, simply open your camera and point it at the QR code below (it will take you to our Instagram page where you can follow us!).

If it didn’t work for you, your native camera may not have the technology built in. Don’t worry! There are a few ways you can still use QR codes. The easiest way is to download this app if you’re on Android or this app if you’re on iOS.

What phone model cameras are compatible with QR?

Technically all phone cameras are compatible with QR codes, however some older phones may require an app for you to scan them as mentioned above. Here’s a list of all phones with built in QR functionality.
